Latin American Outreach:

Answering the Cries has a huge dream to reach students in Guatemala and throughout Latin America. The concept of “youth ministry” is virtually non-existent in many Latin Countries. Although the issues that students are dealing with are the same, there are few people chosen to reach out to this lost generation. ATC has committed to answer the call to reach youth in Latin America. Since most of the staff speak or are learning to speak Spanish, there is a tremendous opportunity ahead. Several times a year members of the ATC team make trips to Guatemala to attend language school, plan, strategize, and lead youth crusades in Latin America. Our vision is to fulfill the ABCs of Latin America: Assemblies, Backpacks, and Crusades: 

• School Assemblies-We will go into high schools in Latin America with a motivational message, dealing with life, choices, hurt and hope. Combing energy and humor and using our life stories we connect with and impact a generation of students.
   
• Backpacks-Our vision is to supply backpacks with school supplies to meet many of the social needs in the lives of students. Our goal is do everything we can to set students up for success not only in school but in life.
   
• Crusades-Every student who gets the opportunity to see our assembly program will receive an invitation to a youth crusade where we will share and explore the greatest message mankind has ever heard the message of Jesus Christ. These are times of intense spiritual atmosphere where we will continue to see thousands of students saved, delivered and healed by the power of God.

In addition to the ABCs, we also engage in preaching in churches, plazas, and villages throughout Latin America. In these times we minister to people of all ages from small children and youth to senior adults.

Hermosura Spanish CD recording project:

We are currently working with Spanish translators in Argentina to finish translating several songs off of Kristi's You See Beauty CD project, along with writing a few original songs in Spanish. There are virtually no female Spanish-speaking worship leaders in Latin Countries, and we have a huge opportunity to impact a generation of young Latina women. Since few Latin Americans have internet access or mp3 players, we need many more CD copies. For us to re-record, produce and duplicate 5,000 copies will cost us about $10,000. After that it will cost us less than $1 a copy. We want to be able to offer them for a free-will offering.
