Comments from Principals and Teachers:
I have to tell you, I am paranoid of assemblies… The kids were immediately engrossed in what was going on. And then the next thing I know, my stomach is hurting because I’m laughing so hard. And I’m not even focusing on the students… When we left I said, 'I’m glad I did this!'…I think the students left with something very positive. I think there were some lives changed because of today.
- Vicky Schultz, Principle of Sandalwood High School, Florida
In the seventeen years I’ve been teaching, I think this was the most effective assembly I have ever seen.

They had a real message for the kids and kept them engaged throughout the entire assembly.

The assembly was really good. It gave them a real positive, informational message. It was very inspirational. He shared a lot of life experiences with them.
-Chad Bradley, Assistant Principal and Athletic Director in Park Hills, Missouri
Today’s assembly…WOW is the description to use! The kids really enjoyed it: the energy, the interaction with the teachers on stage showing that we are all involved and care about what they are doing…
-Rhonda Motley, Vice Principal at Sandalwood High School, Florida
Comments from Students:
Thank you for that very inspirational speech. And you're right, I and the rest of this school all have a story. Mine is very simple. Every time I get close to someone they get hurt or just something happens to them. I walk this school scared that I might hurt someone again.
- Freshman at Huntsville High
I want to first thank you for coming to our school. You have really touched me. You asked for my story- I grow up down here for 14 years and my step-mom used to abuse me so I moved up to live with my mom and step-dad. I loved my step-dad with all my heart. He passed away on February 2, 2008 of having a brain aneurism. I have moved from school to school each year. I am a senior and I have not finished a year of high school in one school. That my story. Thanks for the assembly.
- Potosi High School Senior
For The past two years I have been cutting myself. For about a semester I had an eating disorder. I have never really felt wanted or ever really had any friends. I have been made fun of since I was little. I have ADHD and many people say I am annoying and ugly. I recently tried to kill myself but failed. I thought this assembly would be like all the other boring ones but it wasn’t. It was cool and really helped. Thank you.
